SUCCESSES FOR Southbank Partners RIVER CITIES

Pedestrian/Bike Trail - $481,600 for fiscal year 2015 for work on the trail along the Ohio River through the cities of Ludlow, Covington, Newport, and Bellevue.  This trail is part of the Riverfront Commons Project.

Route 9 – $730,000 in fiscal year 2014 and $2,170,000 in fiscal year 2015 for extension.

$2,660,000 in fiscal year 2014 for reconstruction along a new route to KY 8 near the 4th Street Bridge.  $4,500,000 in fiscal year 2015 to reconstruct Route 9 along a new route to North of 10th Street.  $8.5 in fiscal year 2016 to reconstruct Route 9 along a new route from North of 10th street to US 27 (York Street).

Newport – Safe Routes to Schools $250,000 installation of sidewalks and traffic control measures along 4th and Monmouth Streets, from Saratoga to Monmouth and 3rd Street and 8th Street/Columbia to Putnam and 9th Street.

Dayton Safe Routes to Schools $161,200 construction of sidewalks and installation of crosswalks and roadway markers along Dayton Pike from 7th street to chateau Drive and along Belmont Rd to Ervin Terrace.

Culvert Extension - $3.6 million for a culvert extension carrying Taylor Creek under KY 8 and Riverboat Row in Newport.

$1.2 million – Newport road improvements

$500,000 – Dayton road improvements FY 2017

$1 million – Bellevue road improvements
